  • Attach the required fee: Arresting agencies may charge up to $50 to process expungement requests.
  • Make copies of the request form and submit all required forms: Fill out section 1 of the request form and submit it to the arresting agency if the arrest occurred before July 2013. The agency will complete section 2 and forward the form to the prosecuting attorney’s office. Note that the attorney has the legal right to grant or deny the applicant's request for expungement.

However, if the arrest occurred on or after July 2013, submit it directly to the prosecuting attorney's office.
